To cover this huge market, CMA CGM has been solidly established in the United States for several years with a head office in Norfolk and 5 main regional offices in New Jersey, Chicago, Long Beach, Houston and Atlanta.

Constantly improving local services for a better global coverage
Today, CMA CGM offers 23 services calling U.S ports and linking the USA to more than 150 countries.
The OCEAN THREE agreement, signed with CSCL and UASC, allows the Group on the Transpacific routes, to be the leader of the partnership with 45% of the deployed capability and 52% of the operated fleet, offering 4 services connecting Asia to US West Coast and Canada, and 2 services connecting the US East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico.
- The Vespucci and Manhattan Bridge services launch in April and May, connecting China to US East Coast via the Panama Canal. Vespucci will then connect the US East Coast to North Europe.
- The Victory Bridge service connecting North Europe to Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico, 100% operated by CMA CGM.
- The Amerigo service linking the Mediterranean to the US East Coast.
- The opening in April of the MedGulf, new line connecting the West Mediterranean to Mexico and the Gulf of the Mexico via the Caribbean.
- The launch of a new line in June between the Middle East and South India to Canada and the US East Coast.
CMA CGM BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, the largest containership in the world to call at a North American port
Jacques R.Saadé, Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, decided to deploy an 18,000-TEU capacity vessel to the U.S for a trial call. When the CMA CGM BENJAMIN FRANKLIN called the Port of Los Angeles, CMA CGM became the first carrier to call at a U.S. port with a vessel of this size.
With this call, CMA CGM is furthering its strategy of providing customers with the reach of a global network combined with the convenience of a personal service. It also reflects CMA CGM’s faith in the long-term growth potential of the U.S. economy, and its commitment to increasing its U.S. market share.
A pioneer in deploying large-capacity vessels to the U.S., the CMA CGM Group worked closely with the Ports of Los Angeles and Oakland to ensure there is sufficient infrastructure to support an 18,000 TEU vessel.
The Group looks forward to working with other ports throughout the U.S. as they begin similar assessments of their infrastructure.
